The 3 days gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi tour from Kigali is an interesting gorilla tour that will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which harbours the highest number of mountain gorillas found in four sectors: Rushaga, Nkuringo, Ruhija and Buhoma. During gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park, you will have an opportunity to spend one hour with the endangered mountain gorillas. You will also visit Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale for an interesting boat ride and relaxation.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be welcomed by our driver guide from your hotel or airport, who will brief you about the Uganda safari and then start the journey to the misty forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On the way, you will have an en route lunch and enjoy views of the landscape, hills, farmlands, and homesteads, among others. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, you will carry a packed lunch from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will be allocated a habituated gorilla family and start trekking in the jungle, which takes about 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located.
During gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park, you will be able to view other primates like l’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and others, and once the gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their habitat, which allows you to watch them feed, groom young ones, take photos, learn about their habits, record videos, and more.
After the encounter with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the starting point, where you will meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, which takes about a 2- to 3-hour drive. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Boat ride and departure to Kigali
You will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to go for a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, where you will be able to spot different bird species; explore the islands and learn about their history; and enjoy views of the terraced farmlands, hills, and scenery, among others.
After the boat ride, you will start the journey back to Kigali with an en route lunch on the way, and upon arrival, you will be dropped off at Kigali International Airport for your flight or dropped off at any place of your choice. End of 3 days gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi tour from Kigali.
