1 Day Shimba Hills National Reserve Tour
This is a 1 day tour, which is situated in southeastern Kenya. This 1 day tour will include a game drive in the Shimba Hills National Reserve, where you will spot animals like the rare sable antelope and many more. You will hike to Sheldrick’s Falls and lastly visit Digo village for a cultural experience.
Tour description
At a hotel in Mombasa, a guide from Chopper Tour and Travel will connect with you, and after exchanging greetings, you will go through the Kenya safari details. After the briefing, you will set off to Shimba Hills National Reserve. The drive to Shimba Hills National Reserve will take approximately 1 to 2 hours. Upon arrival, you will be briefed, and then you will go for a morning game drive. The game drive will have views of animals like the rare sable antelope, elephants, buffalo and several monkey species. You will also spot birds like crested guinea fowl, Fischer’s turaco, African blue flycatcher and many more.
After the game drive, you will have a hike to the Sheldrick’s Falls. The hike to these falls while on a Kenya safari will take approximately 2 hours to and from. You will then go for a picnic lunch at a designated location. After lunch, you will have a visit to the Digo village for a cultural experience. While at this village, you will learn about farming and fishing from the locals. You will have views of the eye-catching hut shapes and many more. The guide will then drive you back to Mombasa. You will be dropped off at a hotel.
