This 10 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari will start with a pick up from your location in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport and end with a drop off to your advised destination on the 10th day. By the end of the Safari, you would have had a great impression of Uganda, her natural beauty, people and wildlife.
Day 1: Transfer to Hotel and Tour Around Kampala
Your guide driver will pick you up from Entebbe Airport, transfer you to your reserved hotel and brief you about your 10 days Uganda Safari. You will have a tour around the Pearl of Africa’s Capital City like Visiting Uganda Museum, craft markets and the royal tombs. Later you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls National park – Rhino tracking at Ziwa
After an early breakfast you will embark on your journey to northwestern part of Uganda where Murchison Fall National Park Falls is located, upon your journey to Murchison Falls National Park you will branch off to Ziwa Rhino Ranch for Rhino Trekking. You will meet your Rhino guide and be briefed about Rhino trekking, you will be escorted by ranger onto Rhino trek to see white rhino and other variety wildlife like Rothschild giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, plains zebras, various antelope species that exist at the Ranch. After finding them you will spend one hour with them and you will be able to sight Rhinos closer to you. After the trek you will go for lunch and embark on your journey to Murchison Falls

Day 3: Morning Game drive – Boat cruise along the Nile
After breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive in the park. During this safari, you will have the chance to spot a wide variety of wildlife, including warthogs, baboons, hartebeests, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, and waterbucks. Bird sightings are also common along the way. With a bit of luck, you may also encounter oribis, bushbucks, Bohor reedbucks, bush duikers, and bush pigs. Keep your eyes peeled for large carnivores such as lions, leopards, and hyenas, which are occasionally seen during the game drives. Later you will return to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will enjoy a boat safari upstream along the tranquil Victoria Nile to the base of the majestic Murchison Falls, stopping just 10 meters from the dramatic the Devil’s Cauldron. Along this 17-kilometer stretch, you will take in breathtaking views of the falls from below and observe an abundance of wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, waterbucks, and kobs. This section of the river is also a home for birdlife, with species such as the Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelicans, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbills, cormorants, and the rare shoebill stork. After the cruise, you will later be transferred back to your lodge through the park, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park – Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
After taking breakfast check out of your lodge, meet up with your driver, and start your 3 to 4 hours journey to Kibale National Park. Have a stopover in Fort Portal city for Lunch and brief tour of the city. Later proceed to Kibale national park which is Africa’s best primate destination with about 13 different primate species. Check in your reserved lodge and relax.
After check-in and a shower, the driver will take you for a guided nature walk along the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary. This sanctuary is home to over 10 species of primates and an amazing collection of birds. It is an excellent opportunity to mingle with the local people and learn about a local project for women in the area. Return to you lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking
Wake up early morning, have breakfast and remember to park some lunch. Chimpanzee trekking starts early in the morning with a compulsory briefing. With that knowledge in mind, ensure that you wake up early enough for breakfast and prepare for the challenging task of tracking chimpanzees, there are 4 habituated chimpanzee groups in Kibale national park, monkeys like L’Hoest’s monkey, red-tailed monkeys, Uganda Mangabeys, coppery-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, forest mammals, insects and birds that you will be able to spot during trekking. After allocating your chimpanzee, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them, observer their behaviors like how playful they are, remember to take as many photographs as possible and record videos. After you will go back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Afternoon game drive
After breakfast, you will start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with stopover at Kikorongo Equator crossing for photographs, continue your journey to your reserved lodge for lunch. After lunch, you go for an afternoon game drive along the Kasenyi Plains, a region rich in wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, and waterbucks. You will also have the chance to see various bird species like the black-bellied bustard, grey-capped warbler, black vulture, and grey-backed fiscal. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Dinner and Overnight: Kyambura Gorge lodge/Parkview lodge/Elephant Hub lodge/Pumba lodge
Day 7: Morning Game drive/Climbing lion and Boat Cruise
After enjoying your morning breakfast at the lodge, you will meet your driver-guide and set out for a 6:30 AM game drive and climbing lion experience. This adventure will take place through the Ishasha section, Early morning game drive offers an excellent opportunity to spot predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas before they retreat to their hiding spots. You may also see various bird species like the black-bellied bustard, grey-capped warbler, black vulture, and grey-backed fiscal. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, typically starting around 2:00 PM. During the cruise, you will have the opportunity to see a high concentration of hippos in the water, as well as crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and warthogs along the banks. Bird lovers can also spot a variety of species including the saddle-billed stork, herons, cormorants, and fish eagles, among others. After the boat cruise you will return to your lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi
After an early breakfast you will start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park which take about 4 to 5 hours of driving. Expect to reach in the evening, head to your reserved lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi begins with a mandatory briefing at 7:30 am. To be on time, it’s essential to wake up early and have your breakfast. Be sure to request a packed lunch from your lodge before heading out because tracking time is un predictable. The briefing is conducted by park rangers and wardens who provide key information about the forest, the gorilla families within your sector, what to expect during the trek, and the guidelines for interacting with the gorillas.
Gorilla trekking groups in Bwindi are assigned based on your age and overall fitness level. The trek itself can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla group you are allocated. Once you find your assigned gorilla family, you will have the unforgettable opportunity to spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat each group offers a unique and memorable experience. After spending one hour with the primates, you will be led back to the starting point where your driver will drive you back to the hotel for lunch and refreshment.
After lunch you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer you to Lake Mburo National Park. After arriving at your destination, check in your reserved lodge and go for a late afternoon boat trip on the lake, see water birds, hippos, zebras, crocodiles and most of the park animals drinking or bathing by the shores. Later in the evening you will return to your lodge prepare for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Entebbe international Airport
After your breakfast you will go for the morning game drive and by the end of it, you would have spotted zebras, warthogs, giraffes, impalas, hyenas, buffaloes and a leopard or two if you are lucky. Lake Mburo is one of the few parks in Uganda where you can go for walking safaris, horseback safaris or game viewing using Quad bikes as alternatives to the usual game drive using a vehicle. After you will start on your journey back to Kampala via Mbarara – Masaka High Way. With a short stop at Equator crossing for photographs as you proceed with your journey to Kampala. Your driver will drop you at allocation of your wish either in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport.
