This is a 12 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari that will take you on a safari to Murchison falls national park for a game drive and a boat cruise; Kibale national park for chimpanzee trekking and a nature walk; Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive and a boat cruise; Bwindi impenetrable national park for a gorilla trek and Batwa cultural experience; a visit to lake Bunyonyi; and lake Mburo national park for a game drive, nature walk and boat cruise.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
On the 1st day, you will be picked up by a guide from a hotel in Kampala, and you will interact with him about the safari. You then set off to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. You will have another stopover for lunch, and then you will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will have your dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 2: Game drive and a boat cruise
On the 2nd day, you will have a morning game drive after breakfast and a briefing. You will head out with the guide for the game drive. You will spot animals like buffaloes, elephants, leopards, kobs, warthogs, waterbucks and many more. After the drive, you will head back to the lodge and have lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a briefing and then head for a boat cruise at the bottom of the falls, where you will get to see animals like hippos and crocodiles. The boat cruise will take about 2 to 3 hours. You will then head back to the lodge, eat dinner and retire to your bed.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
On day 3, you will have breakfast and then check out of the lodge in Murchison Falls National Park. You will then set off to Kibale National Park. On your way, you will have lunch at a hotel and then continue with the journey to Kibale National Park. You will get a lodge when you arrive, check in, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and a nature walk
On the 4th day, you will have breakfast and then go for a chimpanzee trek that will last for about 30 minutes to 4 hours. After an hour with the chimps, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will relax, and later in the evening, head for a nature walk that will expose you to the various birdlife and animal species in that park. You will then head back to the lodge and have dinner before you go to bed.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On day 5, you will eat breakfast at the lodge and check out of Kibale National Park. You will then set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an enroute lunch. When you arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check into a lodge, have dinner and go to bed.

Day 6: Morning game drive and a boat cruise
On the 6th day, you will have an early morning breakfast, and you will go for a morning game drive where you will spot various animal species and birds. This park hosts four of the big five, which you will spot—that is to say, the lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes. You will also see other animals like the zebras, kobs, bushbucks, and others. You will return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go for a briefing and then head for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, which will take about 2 hours. You will then return to the lodge and have dinner and rest.
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the 7th day, you will have breakfast at the lodge, and then you will check out. The guide will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a stopover for lunch and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will have dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience
On the 8th day, you will have breakfast very early and get transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will embark on a gorilla trek that may last between 1 and 7 hours. The time you spend searching for them depends on their location. You will have only one hour with the gorillas and head back to the lodge for lunch.
In the evening, you will head to the Batwa communities for a Batwa cultural experience, where you will interact with the Batwa people and learn about their culture and traditions. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and sleep.

Day 9: Visit to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat cruise
On the 9th day, you will have breakfast and the guide will drive you to Lake Bunyonyi. At this lake, you will conduct several activities like boat cruises, swimming, and bird watching, among others. You will spend the rest of the day at this lake, and in the evening, you will go to the lodge, have dinner, and retire to bed.
Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and a nature walk
On the 10th day, you will have breakfast and check out of the lodge. The guide will transfer you to Lake Mburo National Park with an enroute lunch. At Mburo National Park, you will check into a lodge and then head for a nature walk after a briefing.
You will spot several birds and animals, including plants and different tree species, at this park. Afterwards, you will return to the lodge for dinner before retiring to bed.

Day 11: Morning game drive and a boat cruise
On the 11th day, you will have breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing and then go for a morning game drive where you will have a glimpse of several animals like zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, bushbucks, warthogs, elephants and many more. You will also spot some bird species. The Uganda tour guide will return you to the lodge for lunch.
After briefing at the park headquarters, you will head for a boat cruise at Lake Mburo at 2 pm. During the boat cruise, you will see various birds and animals, including hippos and crocodiles. You will then head to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest.
Day 12: Transfer back to Kampala
In the morning at Lake Mburo National Park, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and start your journey back to Kampala.
