Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our professional driver guide will meet you in Kigali -Rwanda/Kigali Airport and then transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda. Depending on the arrival time, you will use one of the borders to enter Uganda either via Cyanika border or Gatuna Border post. You will pass through calm rolling hills as you leave Rwanda to Uganda. Arriving late afternoon to check into your lodge for lunch and rest. With an option of doing a cultural tour to visit Batwa pygmies. Dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi safari lodge – Mid range or Rushaga Community camp – Budget
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Kigali
Wake up have an early breakfast and then be transferred to the Park head quarter by 7:30am for briefing. At around 80:00am, you will join other visitors in groups of eight to start your trek through the thick tropical forest as you search for the great mountain gorillas.
The trekking experience one to seven hours, depending on the movements of the animals. On finding them, one hour is spend with the gorilla family where you will enjoy the amazing experience of interacting with these gentle giants, observe the playful and cunning juveniles as well as silverback males.
After a great encounter with gorillas on a Uganda Safari, you will hike back to the meeting point to be rewarded with your gorilla certificate and thereafter, return to the lodge to have hot lunch and a bit rest. After lunch, check out of the lodge and start the journey back to Kigali for your onward departure flight. That marks the end of the tour.
