3 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in western Uganda, is one of the country’s most visited national park, renowned for its rich biodiversity and diverse landscapes. It is approximately a 7-8 hour drive from Kampala with a spanning 1,978 square kilometres, the park encompasses extensive savannahs, humid forests, wetlands, Kazinga Channel connecting two dazzling lakes i.e. Lake George and Lake Edward and crater lakes, providing habitats for a wide array of wildlife. The park is home to nearly 100 mammal species, including African elephants, buffaloes, hippos, leopards, antelopes, crocodiles and the unique tree-climbing lions found in the Ishasha sector. Additionally, it boasts over 600 bird species, making it a prime destination for birdwatching enthusiasts.

Day 1: Heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up early, enjoy a morning breakfast from the hotel or Airport after which you will be picked from there by your guide early in the morning, who will brief you and you embark on the 6 hours journey to Queen Elizabeth. Along the way you will have few stopovers at the Equator, here you will take enough photographs, as you approach and leave Mbarara town get ready to see great physical landscapes, valleys and terrain that are dotted tea plantations. Lunch will be in Mbarara town after which you will head to the park and lodge. In the evening hours, you will be taken to tour the Crater Lake Katwe and the salt mining activities there and sometimes Flamingos can be spotted. Then check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game drive and afternoon Boat Cruise
You will Start your day with a refreshing cup of coffee or tea before heading out for a thrilling game drive through the park. One of the main routes is the scenic Kasenyi trail, well known for its excellent wildlife sightings. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of animals including tree-climbing lions, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and occasionally leopards. The trail also offers fantastic birdwatching opportunities. After the game drive, return to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch.

In the afternoon, unwind with a two-hour boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, which links Lake George to Lake Edward. As you cruise the waters, you will enjoy close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, kobs, and warthogs along the shoreline. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by sightings of species like the malachite kingfisher and pink-backed pelicans along the banks and in nearby trees. Have Dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala – End of Safari
With the superb memories of the past two days, you will enjoy a heavy and tasty breakfast. Then check out of the lodge, have a primate drive through the Park for missed animals. Make stop over at Kikorongo equator for photographs and have lunch on your journey back to Kampala. The driver will drop you off at your hotel or Entebbe Airport for your flight.
