Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport on day 1 of 5 days Jinja, Sipi Falls and Pian Upe Safari Tour, our experienced tour driver from Chopper Tour and Travel will be ready for your pick-up and transfer to your reserved hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, a Kampala city tour can be arranged for you to explore the attractions within the capital of Uganda upon request, or you may choose to relax at your hotel.
Day 2: Drive from Kampala to Jinja and the Source of the River Nile
On day 2 of 5 days Jinja, Sipi Falls and Pian Upe Safari Tour, have your breakfast at the hotel, then check out and meet the driver to embark on a journey eastward to Jinja, where you have a variety of activities, including a boat ride to explore the source of the Nile River, quad biking, white water rafting, a visit to Bujagali waterfalls, horseback riding and a Jinja City Tour. Dinner and overnight in Jinja. Meals and accommodation on a full-board basis
Driving Time: approximately 2-3 hours from Kampala
Day 3: Travel to Kapchorwa and visit Sipi Waterfall.
After breakfast on day 3 of 5 days Jinja, Sipi Falls and Pian Upe Safari Tour, the journey to the far east continues on a road drive to Kapchorwa, where you will have your lunch, check into your lodge and prepare to have an adventurous evening Sipi Falls hike.
The Sipi Falls hike starts from the villages, offering you a clear picture of rural life in Uganda as you trek through the coffee plantations and ascend through the vegetation to the falls. This adventure offers you a stunning view of the Sipi River, valleys and many more encounters along the trail. A packed lunch/snacks are recommended, and enough drinking water. Return to the lodge later on for an overnight rest.
Driving Time: approximately 2-3 hours
Day 4: Transfer to Pian Upe Game Reserve
Day 4 of 5 days Jinja, Sipi Falls and Pian Upe Safari Tour starts with breakfast at your hotel, then check out and embark on a 4-hour drive to Pian Upe National Reserve, one of the best destinations for bird lovers. Upon arrival, you will have an afternoon and evening game drive in the reserve with an opportunity to spot hyenas, jackals, civets, klipspringers, eland, dik-diks, monkeys, baboons and many other wildlife that call this reserve their home. Dinner and overnight at Karatunga safari camp (budget option)
Driving Time: approximately 3-4 hours
Day 5: Game drive in Pian Upe Game Reserve
Today marks the last day of 5 days Jinja, Sipi Falls and Pian Upe Safari Tour. Embark on yet another half-day game drive in Pian Upe Game Reserve to explore the other part of the reserve with an opportunity to spot more wildlife. After the game drive, you will embark on a journey to Kampala or Entebbe.
