This is an 8 days Rwenzori and gorilla trekking Uganda safari to Mount Rwenzori for a hike from Nyakalengija to John Matte hut. You will also visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking and Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive and a boat cruise.

Detailed itinerary for the 8 days Rwenzori and gorilla trekking safari
Day 1: Pick from a hotel in Kampala and transfer to Kasese
On day 1, you will be picked up from the hotel in Kampala, and the guide will transfer you to Kasese, where you will have dinner at the hotel will check in and also spend the night.

Day 2: Hike from Nyakalengija to Nyabitaba hut
On day 2, you will be briefed at the park headquarters about the hike from Nyakalengija to John Matte, and then you will acquire the hiking gear after the briefing. You will then set off from Nyakalengija, where you have views of primates and bird species. You will stop at Nyabitaba hut, where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Hike from Nyabitaba hut to John Matte hut
On day 3, you will have breakfast at Nyabitaba hut and then start the hike to Kurt Schuffer bridge, which lies at the junction of the Mubuku and Bujuku rivers. You will continue with the hike through the thick bamboo forests as you experience the sights of birds. You will have a break for lunch at Nyamulejju shelter, and after lunch, you will proceed to John Matte hut, where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Descend from John Matte hut to Nyakalengija and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast, and then you will have the chance to view peaks like the Margherita peak. The guide will then lead you back to Nyabitaba hut, where you will have lunch and then descend to Nyakalengija. When you arrive there, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will check into the lodge upon arrival, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 5: Early morning game drive and a boat cruise
On day 5, you will have breakfast in the morning, and then you will be briefed. You will go for an early morning game drive. You will be able to see the wildlife species in Queen Elizabeth National Park including the tree-climbing lions. You will return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will have a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. You will spend approximately 2 to 3 hours on the boat cruise. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge, have dinner and retire to bed.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On day 6, you will have breakfast, and then you will check out of the lodge. The guide will then transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive in the afternoon, check into a Bwindi Park lodge, have lunch and relax. You will then be served dinner in the evening, and then you retire to bed.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking
On day 7, you will have breakfast, and you will be given a packed lunch at the lodge. The guide will then lead you to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will receive the rules and regulations to follow while Uganda gorilla trekking, and then you will start the gorilla trek. You will take about 30 minutes to 7 hours to spot the Uganda gorillas, and then you will spend one hour with them after spotting them. You will then go back to the lodge for some rest, dinner and then you retire to bed for your night’s rest.
Day 8: Depart for Kampala
On day 8, you will have breakfast, and then the guide will transfer you back to Kampala.
