This is a 9 days big 5 and primate safari that is an amazing adventure to 4 of Uganda’s national parks and a visit to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. This safari enables you to see all the big five animals and several primates. This Uganda safari includes visits to Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe airport and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary
A guide will find you at Entebbe airport on the first day of the safari, and you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary, where you will get the opportunity to see the rhinos, which are among the big five, and then proceed to Masindi town, where you will have lunch.
You will continue to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will hike to the top of the falls to see the beautiful falls and the water splashing at this point. You will then head to a lodge where you will have dinner and sleep.

Day 2: Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise at the bottom of the falls
At Murchison Falls National Park, you will have breakfast, and you will go for a morning game drive after the briefing. You will gaze at the landscapes, birds and mammals in the park while on the drive, while the guide gives you the information about them. You will return to the lodge after the game drive, and you will wait for lunch.
In the afternoon, there will be a boat cruise at the bottom of the falls, and you will participate in it after the briefing. This will reward you with sights of various animals and birds. You will also see the aquatic animals, like hippos and crocodiles. You will go back to the lodge, have dinner and rest.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
You will have breakfast and then check out of the lodge. You will set off to Kibale National Park, where you will spend the rest of the day at the lodge, and it’s where you will have lunch, dinner and a night’s stay

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking
On day 4 of the safari, you’ll have breakfast and a briefing at the park HQ before a chimp trek. The chimpanzee trek enables you to spend an hour with the chimpanzees in their habitats, and searching for them during the trek takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on their location. You are free to capture videos and pictures of these primates in their habitats, and after your wonderful experience with them, you will be taken back to the lodge for lunch. You will relax at the lodge, and at dawn, you will have dinner before going to bed.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a night game drive
On the 5th day, you will have breakfast, and then you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have your lunch at a hotel and then proceed to the park. You will rest at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park when you get there. In the evening, you will go for a briefing, and then the guide will take you on a night game drive that is about 2 hours. You will sight the nocturnal animals like the leopards, hyenas, civets, lions and many more. You will return to the lodge, have dinner and sleep.

Day 6: Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel
At the lodge in the morning, you will have breakfast and after a briefing at the park headquarters, you will go for a morning game drive where you will get to see 4 of the big five animals, and these are the lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes. You will come across other animals and birds, and then go back to the lodge for lunch
After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, and you will take about 2 to 3 hours for this boat cruise. You will spot animals along the water banks and in the water. You will return to the lodge for dinner and then go to sleep.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After you check out and have breakfast at the lodge, a guide will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have lunch at a hotel before you reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking
Once you finish your breakfast, a guide will transport you from the lodge to the park headquarters. The park wardens will brief you and then hand you over to the ranger guide. You will begin the gorilla trek with a ranger guide, and you will be provided with a packed lunch. According to the location of the gorillas in the forest, you might spend about 30 minutes to 7 hours looking for them. You will spend one hour with the gorillas in their natural habitat after spotting them. You will get exposed to their lifestyle and how they interact with humans. After 1 hour, you will get back to the lodge, relax, have dinner and sleep.
Day 9: Transfer back to Entebbe airport
After having breakfast on day 9, you will prepare to check out of the lodge, and your guide will transfer you back to Entebbe airport, stopping for lunch at Mbarara along the way.
