5 Days Uganda Gorilla And Wildlife Safari From Kigali

This is a 5 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari that will start from Kigali Airport in Rwanda and end in Uganda at Entebbe Airport. You will leave Kigali Airport and visit the Rwanda Art Museum of after which, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Cyanika border. You will then have a gorilla trek and a Batwa cultural experience while at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

You will be transferred from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will have a night game drive to see nocturnal animals in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will then conduct a morning game drive and a boat cruise the following day. The guide will then transfer you to Entebbe Airport, which a stopover at Igongo cultural centre and at the equator monument. Arriving at Entebbe Airport will mark the end of the safari.

Detailed itinerary for the 5 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari from Kigali

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali Airport and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Our representative guide from Chopper Tour and Travel will meet you at Kigali Airport and inform you about the 5 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari from Kigali, and then you will leave the Airport for a visit to the Rwanda art museum. After the visit to the Rwanda Art museum, you will have lunch at a hotel in Kigali, and then you will set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will cross to Uganda via Cyanika border, and you will arrive in the evening at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will check into a lodge, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience

You will have an early morning breakfast, and then you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will receive guidelines to follow while gorilla trekking, and then you will set off with an armed ranger guide. You will spend approximately 30 minutes to 7 hours searching for the gorillas, and after finding them, you will spend 1 hour with the gorillas. You will observe how the gorillas feed, breastfeed, play and much more. You will take photos of the gorillas, and then you will return to the lodge and have lunch.

After lunch, you will leave the lodge and then go for a Batwa cultural experience. You will have some time with the locals who will teach about the history, traditions and culture of the Batwa. You will be taught how to prepare the Batwa local dishes, see their traditional dance and also learn their ancient hunting and food gathering skills. The guide will drive you back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a night game drive

You will have breakfast on day 3 of the safari at the lodge, and then the guide will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will check into a lodge when you get to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will be given lunch, and then you will have some rest at the lodge.

In the evening, you will be briefed at the park headquarters, and then you will go for a night game drive. You will conduct this game drive Mweya Peninsula, and you will take approximately 2 to 3 hours while on this night game drive. You will spot animals like lions, leopards, civets, hyenas, serval cats and many more. You will then be transferred back to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest.

Day 4: Morning game drive and a boat cruise

You will have breakfast at the lodge on day 4, and then you will leave the lodge and go to the park headquarters with the guide. You will be briefed about the guidelines to follow while on a morning game drive, and then you will set off. You will have the morning game drive for approximately 4 hours, and you will have views of animals like the tree-climbing lions, buffaloes, leopards, elephants, bushbucks, warthogs, bush pigs, and many more. The guide will then transfer you back to the lodge.

You will have lunch, and after the guide will take you for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This boat cruise lasts for about 2 to 3 hours. You will have views of animals like hippos, crocodiles, elephants and several bird species. You will then retire to the lodge. You will have dinner and then retire to bed.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe Airport

You will have breakfast in the morning at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will check out of the lodge and then meet with the driver guide to transfer you to Entebbe Airport. You will have a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch and then continue with the journey. The next stop will be at Kayabwe at the equator monument for pictures and also purchase of souvenirs. You will then proceed with the drive and be taken to Entebbe Airport to board a flight.
