Day 1: Transfer from Kigali airport to Gishwati Mukura National Park for a chimpanzee trek
A representative guide from Chopper Tour and Travel will transfer you from a hotel in Kigali at around 4 am and take you to Gishwati-Mukura National Park. Upon arrival at Gishwati Mukura National Park, you will be briefed about the guidelines to follow while chimpanzee trekking. A ranger guide will be given to accompany you. You will take about 2 to 6 hours on the search for the chimpanzees in Gishwati-Mukura National Park, and this will depend on their location.
You will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees as you monitor them feed, play and do much more. You will then be transferred back to the park headquarters, where you will set off to get to Kigali.
