Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali Airport and transfer to Gishwati Mukura National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali Airport, a chopper tour and travel representative guide will link up with you there, and you will talk about the 3 days Gishwati Mukura National Park. The guide will then take you to the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a historical tour about the 1994 Rwanda genocide events. You will learn about what transpired during the Rwanda genocide. You will then leave for a hotel for lunch.
The guide will transfer you from the hotel and then drive you to Gishwati Mukura National Park. You will get to Gishwati Mukura National Park, and you will check into a lodge. You will have dinner and then you retire to bed.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and climbing Gishwati Mukura waterfall
At the lodge, you will be served breakfast, and then you will depart with your guide for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be given an armed ranger guide to go with you for a chimpanzee trek. You spend about 2 to 6 hours on a chimpanzee trek. After spotting the chimpanzees, you will spend one hour with them. You will then be transferred back to the park headquarters for lunch.
After lunch, you will leave the lodge and go for a briefing. You will then go for a hike to Gishwati Mukura waterfall. You will explore this place with several sights of wildlife. You will then go back to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali Airport
You will wake up early and have breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge. The guide will pick you up from the lodge and then drive you to Kigali. You will have a stopover on your way to Kigali at Iby’iwacu cultural village for a cultural encounter. You will meet with the locals at Iby’iwacu cultural village, and they will teach you about the Rwandese culture and traditions. You will learn about the history and traditions of Rwanda. You will learn how they prepare their local meals, and you will see how they perform their traditional dances.
The guide will then drive you to Kigali, and you will have lunch at a hotel. The guide will then drop you at Kigali Airport.
