Uganda 6 Days Safari: Gorillas, Chimps and Wildlife.
The 6 days primates and wildlife safari is an incredible tour that is designed for tourists who are interested in viewing both wildlife and primates. This Uganda safari will take you to the most popular national parks in western Uganda, including Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will be rewarded with views of animals like lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, hippos, Nile crocodiles, and others. During the safari, you will also visit Kibale Forest National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will be able to spend time with the endangered mountain gorillas and chimpanzees in their natural environment.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
Our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel or Entebbe Airport, brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda. The journey takes about 6 to 7 hours, and on the way, you will have a stopover for lunch and also enjoy views of the crater lakes, tea plantations, and Rwenzori mountain peaks, among others. Upon arrival in Kibale Forest National Park, you will check into the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest in search of the habituated chimpanzees, which takes about 2 to 5 hours depending on their location. During chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park, you will be able to spot other primates and bird species, and once the chimpanzees are found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them, watching them feed, breastfeed, play, fight, hunt, take photos and record videos.
After the one hour with the chimpanzees, you will return to the lodge for lunch and later check out to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which takes about a 2- to 3-hour drive. Upon arrival, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
You will have an early breakfast at the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive in the park, where you will look out for predators like lions, hyenas, and leopards; other animals like buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, elephants, Uganda kobs, and bushbucks; and different bird species, among others.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and then go for an amazing launch cruise on Kazinga Channel, a waterbody that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. During the boat cruise, you will be rewarded with beautiful views of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, views of buffaloes, elephants, and antelopes drinking water along the shores, and views of water birds like pelicans, kingfishers, cormorants, hornbills, and bee-eaters, among others. After the boat cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On the way, you will have a stopover in the Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will be able to view the tree-climbing lions lying in fig/acacia tree branches, and another stopover for lunch en route. Later, proceed to Bwindi National Park, arriving early evening, and upon arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi forest
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge with your packed lunch to transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the gorilla briefing, you will start trekking in the jungle with a park guide and park rangers, which takes about 2 to 7 hours, depending on where the mountain gorillas are located, as they like to move from one place to another in search of food.
Once the gorilla family has been located, you will be able to spend one hour with the gorillas, learn about their habits, take pictures, watch them feed, play, groom the young ones, and record the breathtaking moments, among others. After the encounter with the mountain gorillas, you will return to the park headquarters, where you will be awarded the gorilla trekking certificate, and later drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Departure flight to Entebbe airport
You will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your scheduled domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport, leaving at around 8:35 am or 12:05 pm and arriving at around 11:25 am and 2:25 pm, respectively, bringing your 6 days primates and wildlife safari to an end
