Day 1: Arrival in Kampala and Evening City Tour

Your Uganda safari begins with an airport pickup at Entebbe International Airport by your professional English-speaking driver-guide, who transfers you northeast to Kampala, Uganda’s vibrant, hilly capital city and one of East Africa’s most energetic and characterful urban destinations. Depending on your arrival time, check into your hotel for lunch before heading out for an evening Kampala city tour covering the city’s most rewarding attractions.

Kampala rewards curious exploration across its seven hills, from the colourful stalls and sensory energy of Nakasero Market and the artisan craft shops of the city centre to the deeply significant Kasubi Tombs UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Uganda Museum’s natural and cultural collections, and the striking Baha’i Temple, offering panoramic city views from its hilltop position. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Mabira Forest and Source of the Nile, Jinja

With breakfast and hotel check-out already behind you, your driver-guide will set out eastwards towards Jinja, the adventure capital of Uganda and home to one of the most recognised geographical wonders on earth. The journey includes a rewarding stopover at Mabira Forest Reserve, one of Uganda’s most accessible and biodiverse tropical rainforests, where zip-lining through the canopy, guided nature walks, and birding among over 300 recorded species provide an energetic and memorable forest experience before continuing toward the Nile.

Arriving in Jinja after an en route lunch stop, the afternoon Source of the Nile boat cruise is the day’s centrepiece, a guided water journey to the precise point on Lake Victoria’s northern shore confirmed by British explorer John Hanning Speke in 1862 as the origin of the world’s longest river. The cruise delivers beautiful lake views, resident waterbird sightings, and a genuine sense of geographical significance that makes the Source of the Nile one of Uganda’s most meaningful and memorable Ugandan tourism experiences. Transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: White Water Rafting at Itanda Falls and Jinja City Tour

After breakfast, transfer to Itanda Falls, one of the most celebrated white-water rafting destinations in East Africa, for a half-day of adrenaline-charged adventure on the Nile’s powerful Grade 5 rapids. White water rafting, quad biking, bungee jumping, and kayaking are all available at the falls, making Itanda one of the most activity-rich adventure safari destinations in the entire East African region.

Return to the lodge for a well-earned lunch and afternoon rest before an evening Jinja city tour explores this fascinating and historically significant city, once the industrial heart of East Africa, now reinvented as Uganda’s premier adventure tourism destination. The city’s colonial railway line, craft markets, the Source of the Nile Gardens, and the atmospheric main street reward a relaxed evening exploration before dinner and a final overnight stay in Jinja.
