Day 1 : Pick up and transfer to Nyungwe National Park
On the first day of the safari, a guide will meet you at the airport and you exchange greetings. You will be briefed and then you head for a city tour in Kigali the capital city of Rwanda. You will gave a visit to Kigali genocide memorial where you will learn about the happenings of the 1994 Rwanda genocide and you will also get to see the remains of the participants in the 1994 Rwanda genocide. You will tour around this place with the guide while gathering details about it.
The guide will then transfer you to Rwanda art museum and you have an encounter with the various art pieces and sculptures that are kept at this place. These items are made by the artists in Rwanda and they bring out the culture, history and traditions of Rwanda. You will have a glance at this art pieces and a guide will elaborate more about them. You will after head for lunch at a hotel in Kigali. After your lunch meal, a guide will transfer you to Nyungwe National Park
Upon your arrival at Nyungwe National Park, you will get a lodge where you will spend the night. You will check in and freshen up. After settling in, you will have dinner and retire to bed

Day 2 : Chimpanzee trekking and a canopy walk
On the second day of the 3 days Nyungwe primates tour, you will wake up, have a bath and have breakfast. You will then be transferred to the park headquarters from the lodge by the guide. You will be briefed by the park wardens when you reach the park headquarters. They will brief you about the do’s and don’ts while conducting a chimpanzee trek. You will be given a ranger guide who will escort you to this chimpanzee trek. You will set off with the guide to Nyungwe forest to meet the chimpanzees. It will take you several hours when you are trying to spit these primates. The hours you take to spot them depend on their location in the park and you will meet various animal and bird species as you search for the chimpanzees. You will also come across a number of tree species on your search for these primates. You will have only one hour to spend with the chimpanzees once you spot them. You will be allowed to take pictures and videos of these primates as you observe their behaviors. You will then be told information about them by the guide and after you will head back to the lodge and have lunch.
In the afternoon after your lunch meal, you will head back from the lodge to the park headquarters and be briefed about a canopy walk. You will be told what to do while on a canopy walk. You will then head with the guide to conduct this activity on the suspended bridge of 70m high and 160m long. You will take approximately 2 hours while conducting this activity while having views on the Nyungwe forest from the top of this bridge. You will also see the various attractions at Nyungwe National Park while you are conducting the canopy walk. You will then be taken back to the lodge by the guide and you freshen up. You will then have dinner and retire to bed
Day 3 : Visit to Gisakura tea estate and transfer to Kigali airport
On the last day of the safari, you will have an early morning breakfast and the guide will meet you at the lodge and you will get transferred to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be briefed by the park wardens before you head fir a visit to Gisakura tea estate. At this place you will have an encounter with the locals who will teach you about the tea process like how they plant it, harvest it and how it is processed.
This visit will reward you with a number of experiences and memories and after the visit to this tea estate, a guide will drive you back to the lodge where you will be given lunch. After the lunch meal, you will check out of the lodge and a guide will then lead you back to Kigali airport.
On you way to Kigali airport, you will have a stopover at Kimironko market where you will meet and greet with the locals that operate their businesses there. They will show you a number of items they sell at this market that is to say the earrings, handbags, clothes, fresh fruits, art pieces, bracelets, necklaces and many more. All the above items bring out details about the culture of Rwanda and you will then purchase souvenirs and head to the airport to catch your flight.
