6 Days Gorilla Tour Holiday
This is an adventure to Rwanda, where you will enjoy a holiday with the gorillas in Volcanoes National Park and also engage in other activities in other parks in Rwanda. You will visit the Kigali genocide memorial and the Rwanda art museum in Kigali city on the first day of the safari. You will proceed to Akagera National Park for a morning game drive and a boat cruise. At Nyungwe National Park, you will have a chimpanzee trek and a canopy and then conclude the holiday with a gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park and a visit to Iby’iwacu cultural village.

Detailed Itinerary Of The 6 Days Gorilla Tour Holiday
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali Airport and transfer to Akagera National Park
On day 1 of the 6 days gorilla tour holiday, a guide will link up with you at Kigali Airport, and you will head for a city tour in Kigali to the Kigali genocide memorial. You will learn about the events of the 1994 Rwanda genocide while at the Kigali genocide memorial, and you will also be able to see the remains of the Rwandans who engaged in the 1994 Rwanda genocide.
You will then leave the Kigali genocide memorial and head to a hotel in Kigali, where you will have lunch. After lunch, you will have a brief visit to the Rwanda art museum for views of the amazing artwork of the Rwandese artists. You will see several art pieces that define the culture and traditions of Rwanda. After the short visit, you will start the journey to Akagera National Park, and when you arrive, you will check into a lodge, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 2: Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise
On day 2 of the 6 days gorilla tour holiday, you will have breakfast and then be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will have a morning game drive where you will spot several animals and birds rising from their habitats. The game drive will take about 3 to 4 hours as you explore the diverse ecosystems in Akagera National Park. You will be taken back to the lodge after the game drive, and you will relax. After relaxation, you will have lunch and then head to Lake Ihema for an afternoon boat cruise.
The boat cruise at Lake Ihema will enable you to see the wildlife that resides at this lake, and this boat cruise will take approximately 1 hour. You will be able to sight animals like the hippos and crocodiles, plus various bird species, while on the boat cruise. The guide will return you to the lodge; you relax, have dinner and then you retire to bed.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park for a canopy walk
On day 3 of the 6 days gorilla tour holiday, you will have breakfast and then check out of the lodge. The guide will transfer you to Nyungwe National Park, where you will check into a lodge upon arrival. You will have lunch at the lodge and then, after relaxing, head to the park headquarters for a briefing.
After the briefing, you will engage in a canopy walk at the suspended bridge. The canopy walk will take approximately 2 hours, and you will be able to have several views of the park, including the wildlife, landscapes and vegetation. After the canopy walk, you will head back to the lodge, have some rest and then have dinner. After dinner, you will retire to bed.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On day 4 of the 6 days gorilla tour holiday, you will have breakfast and then leave the lodge with the guide for the park headquarters. You will be briefed, and then after the briefing, you will head to the forest for chimpanzee trekking. You will take about 30 minutes to 4 hours searching for the chimpanzees. After spotting them, you will be given one hour to spend with them. You will then head back to the lodge after capturing their pictures and observing their behaviours. You will have lunch at the lodge and then check out.
A guide will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park, where you will arrive in the evening, check into a lodge have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking
On day 5 of the 6 days gorilla tour holiday, after having an early morning breakfast, you will have your packed lunch and then go for a briefing at the park headquarters. After receiving the guidelines to follow while gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park on a Rwanda Tour, you will set off with an armed ranger guide to the forest. You will then take about 30 minutes to 7 hours searching for the gorillas in the forest. After spotting them, you will spend only one hour with them. You will share amazing moments with them as you observe how they feed, breastfeed, play and much more. After taking pictures of them, you will return to the lodge and relax. In the evening, you will have your dinner meal and later retire to bed.

Day 6: Visit to Iby’iwacu cultural village and transfer back to Kigali Airport
On day 6 of the 6 days gorilla tour holiday, after having an early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge. The guide will take you for a cultural experience at the Iby’iwacu cultural village for the Kigali Culture village. You will have an encounter with the locals that will take you through the culture and traditions of the Rwandese. You will learn how they prepare their local dishes, and then you will also have views of them dancing their traditional dance. After the cultural experience, you will embark on the journey back to Kigali. You will brunch at a hotel in Kigali and you will have lunch. After the lunch meal, you will be driven to Kigali Airport to take your flight.
