This is a 10 days best of Uganda safari that will expose you to the wildlife around Uganda. You will visit 4 national parks of Uganda to explore the attractions and engage in several activities. The parks include Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale National Park, and Murchison Falls National Park. You will engage in several activities as per the itinerary below.

Detailed itinerary of the 10 Days Best Of Uganda Safari.

Day 1: Pick Up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On day 1, you will meet up with a guide from Chopper tour and travel with whom you will interact and get the details about the safari. You will then embark on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch and pictures, plus taking a tour around this centre to get details about the history of the Ankole people.

You will then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking

On day 2, you will have breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for a briefing. At the headquarters, you will be told the dos and don’ts while conducting a gorilla trek. You will head to the forest with the ranger guide to search for the gorillas. It may take 1 to 7 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. After finding them, you will stay an hour with them and then return to the lodge for lunch.

In the evening, you will have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On day 3, you will have breakfast at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and then check out of the lodge. The guide will then transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will have an enroute lunch and then proceed with the journey. At Queen National Park, you will pick a lodge of your choice and after checking in, you will relax and later in the evening have dinner. After dinner, you will have your night’s rest.

Day 4: Morning game drive and a boat cruise

On day 4, you will go for a briefing at the park headquarters after you are done with breakfast. You will be briefed about a morning game drive with details about how you should behave while carrying it out. You will have a ranger guide to take you to the drive, and you will come across several animals and birds. You will also see the vegetation and landscapes in this park. After the drive, you will head back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will have a boat cruise on Kazinga channel that will start at 2 pm after a briefing. You will spot animals in water like the hippos and crocodiles, plus numerous bird species. Other mammals will be seen taking water along the channel. After the boat cruise of approximately 2 hours, you will return to the lodge and rest. Later in the evening, you will have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 5: Lion tracking and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

On day 5, you will have breakfast and then be transferred by the guide to the park headquarters. You will be briefed about lion tracking, and then you will head to the Kasenyi plains to carry out this activity, where you will see the tracks of the lions. After the lion tracking activity. You will head back to the lodge and check out.

You will then be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park with a stopover for lunch. At Kibale National Park, you will check into a lodge, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and a nature walk

On day 6, you will have breakfast and then go with the guide to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then go for a chimpanzee trek after you are briefed. The chimpanzee trek enables you to spot other wildlife species in the forest and various plant species. You will then stay with the chimpanzees for one hour after spotting them. Spotting them may take you 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on their location. You will observe how they feed, play and much more. After taking pictures of them, you will return to the lodge and have lunch.

After lunch, you will relax a bit and then head for a nature walk in the evening, where you will spot several birds and mammal species at a close distance. You will also view the beauty of the flora of the park and then head back to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest.

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

On day 7, you will have breakfast and then check out of the lodge. The guide will then transfer you from Kibale National Park to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have a stopover for lunch and then proceed to the park. At Murchison Falls National Park, you will check into a lodge when you arrive and settle in. You will have dinner and then retire to bed.

Day 8: Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise

On day 8, you will have breakfast and then head for an early morning game drive after a briefing. You will have encounters with wildlife species at the park, and some of those that you will spot include the lions, leopards, elephants, bushbucks, warthogs, bush pigs, buffaloes, hartebeests and many more. The guide will then return you to the lodge, and you relax.

You will later have lunch and then head for an afternoon boat cruise at the bottom of the falls. The boat cruise takes about 2 to 3 hours, and you will spot a variety of animals and birds. Some of the animals include the hippos, crocodiles and others of the shores like the buffaloes, elephants and many more. You will then return to the lodge, relax a bit and then have dinner. After dinner, you will retire to bed

Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking

On day 9, you will have breakfast and the guide will drive you to the park headquarters. You will be briefed at the park headquarters, and then you will go with a ranger guide for a chimpanzee trek in Budongo Forest. The trek takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours. You will spend one hour with the chimpanzees when you spot them and then return to the lodge. At the lodge, you will have lunch and then spend the rest of the time with the guide. You will interact and share information about the park with the guides till evening.

You will be served dinner, and you retire to bed.

Day 10: Transfer back to Kampala

On the last day of the safari, you will have breakfast and then check out of the lodge. The guide will then transfer you back to Kampala.
