The 14 days Uganda safari is an extraordinary adventure that starts and ends in Kampala. The safari will take you to the most interesting destinations in Uganda including Murchison falls national park, kibale forest national park, queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park, lake Bunyonyi and lake mburo national park. During the safari you will be able to spend time with the endaregered gorillas, chimpanzee and view different animals including elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, hippos, giraffes, Jacksons hartebeest, Nile crocodiles, Hippos, warthogs, zebra, topi, elands, impalas, Oribis, bushbucks, among others during the game drives and boat cruise.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: pick up and transfer to hotel Kampala
According to your location on day 1 of the 14 days Uganda safari, you will be welcomed by your guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer to a hotel in kampala for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: transfer to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa Rhinos sanctuary
On the 2nd day of your 14 days Uganda safari, our driver guide will pick you up from the hotel and then start the journey to Murchison falls nation park which is located in north western part of Uganda. On the way you will have a stopover at ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking where after you will continue the journey with another stopover in Masindi for lunch. After lunch you will proceed to Murchison with another stopover in buhoma forest were you will be able to spot baboons. Then proceed to the park in late evening with an optional of evening game drive were you will see some certain animals like giraffes, elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, elephants among other animals. After your game drive you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After early breakfast on day 3 of the 14 days Uganda safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive where you will be able to view early risers. During the game drive you will be be able to spot large herds of elephants, Uganda kob, waterbucks, warthogs, giraffes, lions, leopards, view several birds species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise; after lunch you will go for an exciting boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will get a chance to view large herds of hippos and crocodiles in water, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes along the shores, view aquatic birds like kingfishers, cormorants, bee-eaters, hornbills among others. After the boat ride you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: transfer to kibale national park
After an early breakfast on 4 day of the 14 days Uganda safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to kibale national park. It’s a whole day journey and on the way you will have en-route lunch and enjoy spectacular views of the local people, traditional homesteads, Rwenzori Mountains, tea plantations. Upon arrivals in kibale national park you will continue to the lodge, check in for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
Chimpanzee trekking
After an early breakfast on 5 days of 14 days Uganda safari, you will meet up with the driver guide to transfer to Kanyachu visitors centre for briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations for chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a chimpanzee family to trek and park gguide who is well conversant with trails in the forest chimpanzee trekking in kibaale national park takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on their location because they like to move from one place to another in search of food and once the chimpanzee have been located, you will spend one hour with them in their natural habitats which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their life style, behaviors, watch them, feed, enjoy the juvenile playing up in the trees, take photos and record videos with flash less cameras. After the one hour with the chimpanzee, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide and transfer back to the lodge for lunch
Bigodi swamp walk
After lunch, you will go for an interesting swampwalk in bigodi swamp where you be able to view variety of bird species like the great blue turaco, black crowned waxbill, black bishop, grey winged robin-chat, yellow billed barbet, view mammals like otters, bush pigs, sitatungas, bushbucks, several primates like blue monkey, black and white colobus monkey, grey checked mangabey, vervet monkeys, among others. After the nature walk you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After a relaxed breakfast on day 6 of the 14 days Uganda safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to queen Elizabeth national park which is the second largest national park in Uganda. On the way way you will enjoy spectatular views of the Rwenzori mountains, lake George, tea plantations among others. Upon arrivals in the park you will continue to check into the lodge for lunch where after you will either relax at the lodgeor go for an afternoon game drive where you will view animals like the elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, among others. After game drive you will drive to the lodge check in, have dinner and overnights
Day 7: morning game drive / lion tracking and after boat cruise
Morning game drive
After early breakfast on the 7day of 14 days Uganda safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for morning game drive or lion tracking experience in kasenyi plains. During the game you will have great views of the sunrise, big four mammals which are lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, other animals like waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kob, view of different bird species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise; after lunch you will drive to the landing site near mweya safari lodge for an incredible boat cruise along kazinga channel connect to Lake George and Lake Edward. During the boat trip which lasts for about 2 hours you will be able to view large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodile in water, view buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, drinking water along the banks, view water birds like yellow billed stork, cormorants, hornbills, Africa skimmer, kingfisher, fish eagles among others. You will also be able to see the fishermen along the shores preparing their fishing gears for night fishing, take beautiful pictures among others. After the boat cruise you will go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view some of the animals that you missed in the morning and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park via ishasha sector
After breakfast on day 8 of the 14 days Uganda safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet with your driver/ guide to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is the most visited gorilla destination because it harbors half of the world’s mountain gorillas. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours’ drive and on the way you will have a stopover at ishasha sector in the southern part of queen Elizabeth national park. Ishasha sector is famously known for the tree climbing lions which will be viewed lying up in acacia/fig tree branches during the game drive. Ishasha sector also harbors other animals like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, among others. After the game drive you will have lunch where after you will proceed the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park, upon arrival you will check into lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park

After an early breakfast on day 9 of the 14 days Uganda safari, you will carry packed lunch and driver will pick you up from the lodge to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations and expectations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and the park guide who is knowledgeable about the gorillas and well conversant with trails in the jungle. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable takes about 30minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are allocated because they move from one place to another looking for food and water. After trekking you will meet your driver guide to drive you back to your hotel for dinner and overnight since you had a long busy day.
Day 10: Nature walk in Bwindi impenetrable national park
On day 10 of the 14 days Uganda safari, you will have breakfast and meet up with your driver guide to go for interesting nature walk in the park where you will be able to get up close and personal with different animals, view different bird species, butterflies, plant and tree species, listen to sweet sounds of bird species, take beautiful photos among others. After the guided nature walks, you will return to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for canoeing
After breakfast on day 11 of the 14 days Uganda safari, you will check out of your lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in kabale district. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest fresh water lake in Uganda and second deepest in east Africa. The lake is well translated as a place of little birds because it harbors a range of birds’ species and 29 main islands. The birds include, kingfishers, black heron, golden backed weaver, grey shrike, cardinal woodpecker, among others, have spectacular view of the terraced farmlands, kigezi hills, traditional homesteads among others.
Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo/ evening boat cruise
On the 12th day, you will wake up on your leisure breakfast from Lake Bunyonyi, check out of the park and set off to L. Mburo national park in kiruhura district. On your way you will observe the hilly areas of kigezi region as you leave the area, you will en route to mbarara town for lunch, at igoogo cultural center, have a tour visit around the cultural site that demonstrate about the culture of Ankole people, then continue to l. mburo in the early evening, have a boat cruise at the lake, were you will be able to spot the mammals like hippos, crocodile, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes which normally come to water in the afternoon. After the boat cruise, you will taken back in the park, check in for lodge, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13: morning game drive and Nature walk
On the 13th day, you will wake up after your breakfast, met your driver / guide who will take you through the game drive while spotting the different mammals and bird species which include; elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebra, antelopes, Uganda kobs, wild pigs, and the birds you will spot African fin foot, shoebill stock, Egrets, creasted francolin, brown parrot, African Grey Hornbill. After game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation as you wait for nature walks later in the evenings. During the nature walk, you will be able to spot the bird species like created cranes, brown parrot, shoebills, among others, you will be able to see the long horned cattle which are reared around the park. you will be taken back to the lodge for relaxation and, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 14: Departure to Kampala.
On the 14th day of 14 days Uganda safari, you will wake up on your leisure breakfast, check out of the lodge and start your journey back to Kampala. The journey may take about 5-6 hour drive from Lake mburo national to Kampala or Entebbe international airport for your next flight.
