Detailed itinerary
Day 1 : Pick up and transfer to lake Mburo national park
At the start of the 5 days Lake Mburo, Uganda, wildlife safari, you will be transferred by a guide from Entebbe airport to Lake Mburo national park. On your way to Lake Mburo National Park, you will stop at Kayabwe to take pictures at the equator monument before continuing your journey. You will have another stopover at a hotel in Mbarara for lunch and then you will head for a tour to Igongo cultural center.
This museum houses many artifacts from the Ankole people, and individuals interested in learning about their history are welcome to visit. A guide at this place will take you through all the items kept at this place and you will be able to capture images of your areas of interest. You will then proceed to the park and check into a lodge.
After unwinding, you’ll receive your dinner, after which you’ll retire to bed and rest.

Day 2 : Early morning game drive and a boat cruise
On day 2 of the 5 days lake Mburo Uganda wildlife safari, you will have an early morning game drive after having had breakfast at the lodge. The park headquarters will host a briefing before handing you over to the guide who will escort you. This game drive will expose you to the chance to see the various animals and birds in lake Mburo national park and the sightseeing will be done with the assistance of the guide. You will spot animals like zebras, leopards, hyenas, impalas, klipspringers, eland among others. You will return to the lodge for lunch after the game drive.
After lunch, you will attend a briefing at the headquarters before heading for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. The boat cruise on lake Mburo takes about 2 hours and while carrying out this activity, you will spot a number of animals like hippos and crocodiles and other animals on the shores like buffaloes. There will also be various sightings of bird species while on the boat cruise at the lake. You will then retire to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 : Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for an afternoon boat cruise at kazinga channel
On day 3, you will have breakfast at the lodge in lake Mburo national park and then you will check out and head to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will arrive at the park offices in Queen Elizabeth national park and a Ugandan tour guide will direct you to the lodge, where you will spend the night. You will put your luggage there and then head for the lunch meal.
After lunch, you will head back to the park headquarters and be briefed before you set off for a boat cruise in the afternoon at around 2pm at kazinga channel. The boat cruise at Kazinga channel takes about 2 hours. You will be accompanied by a Ugandan safari guide to elaborate more about everything on this channel, and you will be able to spot aquatic animals like hippos and crocodiles. You will also spot several bird species and other animals like elephants and buffaloes, among others.
You will then head to the lodge and you will relax till dinner time. After dinner, you will report back to your bed and sleep.

Day 4 : Morning game drive and nature walk
On the penultimate day of the safari, you will eat breakfast at the lodge and then go to the headquarters for a briefing before a morning game drive. You will go with an armed ranger guide and you will be able to witness the animals rising from their habitats in the morning and this is when they are more active. You will spot several birds and animals during the game drive, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, and warthogs, among others.
The Uganda safari guide will take you back to the lodge after the game drive, where you can refresh and prepare for lunch. After the lunch meal, you will be transferred to headquarters and you will be briefed before you embark on a nature walk in the park. During the nature walk, you will spot numerous bird species and animals, including various tree species. You will be able to view wildlife at a close range and then you will head back to the lodge with the guide. You will have dinner at the lodge, and you will spend the night there.

Day 5 : Transfer back to Kampala
On the last day of the safari, you’ll have breakfast at the lodge, and the guide will pick you up after you check out. The Uganda tour guide will then transfer you back to Kampala, either to a hotel or the airport, where you can catch your flight.
