This is a 5 days Queen Elizabeth National Park safari to western Uganda, where you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park for a safari of 5 days. You will engage in numerous activities that are offered in this park. You will have encounters with the wildlife in this Park and have views of the beautiful landscapes. The Uganda safari will begin with a pick-up from Entebbe Airport, and you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru and at a hotel in Fort Portal for lunch.
You will have a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains and an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel on day 2 of the safari. You will then conduct a chimpanzee trek in the Kyambura gorge on day 3 and lion tracking on day 4. You will go ahead to visit the Katwe salt lake on day 4, and on the last day, you will be transferred to Kampala.

Detailed Itinerary For The 5 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe Airport and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Upon arriving at Entebbe Airport, you will meet with a representative guide from Chopper Tour and Travel. The guide will take you through the safari details of the 5 days Queen Elizabeth National Park safari. The guide will then take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You will have a stopover at Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru caves, which you will explore and get to see the attractions at these caves. After getting the information about them, you will proceed with the journey, and you will branch out at a hotel in Fort Portal for lunch. After eating lunch, you will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You will check into a lodge upon arrival. After settling in, you will relax, have dinner and then retire to bed.

Day 2: Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and then be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will then set off for an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains after being guided on how to behave. You will have approximately 3 to 4 hours while on the morning game drive. You will be able to spot numerous animal species like the elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, Uganda kob, bushbucks, and many more. The guide will then take you back to the lodge, and you will have lunch.
In the afternoon, after relaxing, you will leave the lodge and go with a guide for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. You will take approximately 2 to 3 hours while on the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. You will spot animals like the hippos, crocodiles and many more as you ride on the boat. The guide will take you back to the lodge. You will have dinner and your night’s rest.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast at the lodge, and a guide will pick you up from the lodge and transfer you to the park headquarters. At the park headquarters, the park wardens will brief you on the guidelines to follow while chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge. You will be given a guide, and then you will set off for the chimpanzee trek.
You will spend 30 minutes to 4 hours searching for the chimpanzees as you come across numerous wildlife species. After spotting the chimpanzees, you will spend 1 hour with them in their natural habitat as you observe the way they behave, for example, the way they play with each other, feed and many more. You will take photos of them, and after sharing moments with them, you will be taken back to the lodge. You will be served lunch at the lodge, and then you will relax. In the evening, you will have dinner at the lodge, and then you will retire to bed.

Day 4: Lion tracking and visit to the Katwe salt lake
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and then go to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing about lion tracking, you will then set off with the ranger guide for lion tracking. You will do the lion tracking in the Kasenyi plains, where you will be able to see the lions swinging in the trees and resting under the trees. The lion tracking will take approximately 2 to 3 hours. You will be helped by the researchers to find out their behaviour, and thereafter, you will get back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you go for a visit to the Katwe salt lake. Here you will interact with the locals who will teach you the salt extraction techniques and also get a Uganda tour around to see numerous attractions and get information on how the locals in this area manage their lifestyle. The guide will take you back to the lodge. You will be served dinner, and you will retire to bed.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
Early in the morning at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will have breakfast at your own pace. After breakfast, you will then check out of the lodge. The guide will transfer you to Kampala at leave you at a hotel.
