This 7 Days gorilla and wildlife safari is a multisensory experience containing stunning views, exciting wildlife experiences, and cultural experiences that give you a flavour of Uganda’s natural from its most popular destinations, such as Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Forest and Lake Mburo National Park and cultural heritage.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe Airport and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On day 1 of the safari, you will have to meet the guide at Entebbe Airport when you arrive, and after interacting about your Uganda safari, you will then set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have various sights of attractions along the way, and you will have a stop in Fort Portal town, where you will have lunch.

After the lunch meal, you will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and you will check into a lodge upon arrival. You will rest, and then you will be served dinner at the lodge. You will then head to bed for your night’s rest after dinner.

Day 2: Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise

On day 2 of the safari, you will have breakfast and then head for a briefing at the park headquarters about the morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. You will then head for the game drive with the guide after the briefing. You will spot several birds and animals. Some of the animals that you will spot include the elephants, lions, leopards, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, warthogs and many more. You will be transferred back to the lodge, and you will relax after the morning game drive.

After having lunch at the lodge, you will head for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, where you will be able to sight aquatic animals like the hippos, crocodiles and many more. You will then return to the lodge after having numerous views of wildlife along the Kazinga channel. You will spend your time at leisure and then have dinner in the evening. You will then head to bed for your night’s rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On day 3 of the safari, you will have breakfast at the lodge. You will check out of the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and then the guide will drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will get to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and you will check into a lodge. You will have lunch at the lodge and then spend the rest of the day relaxing. You will be served dinner in the evening, and after that, you will retire to bed.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking

On day 4 of the safari, you will have breakfast and then be given your packed lunch at the lodge. You will then set off to the park headquarters with the guide for a briefing. You will receive guidelines to follow while on a gorilla trek, and you will be given an armed ranger guide to escort you. You will take about 30 minutes to 7 hours to spot the gorillas, and when you spot a gorilla family, you will spend 1 hour with it. You will observe their behaviours, and you will have time to capture photos. You will be taken back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and your night’s rest.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

On day 5 of the safari, you will be served breakfast in the morning, and then you will leave the lodge and meet with the guide. The guide will then transfer you to Lake Mburo National Park, where you will have your lunch. You will rest at the lodge in Lake Mburo National Park after your lunch meal. In the evening, you will have dinner and then retire to bed.

Day 6: Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise

On day 6 of the safari, before going for a morning game drive, you will have breakfast and be briefed at the park headquarters. After the briefing, you will then start the morning game drive, taking approximately 3 to 4 hours. At the morning game drive at Lake Mburo National Park, you will spot animals like zebras, elephants, giraffes, bushbucks and many more. You will return to the lodge, relax and then have lunch.

After lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise at Lake Mburo, where you will spot several birds and animal species that reside there. After the boat cruise that will take about 2 hours, you will return to the lodge, relax, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 7: Transfer back to Entebbe Airport

On day 7 of the safari, you will have breakfast in the morning at your own pace and after you will check out of the lodge. You will embark on the journey back to Entebbe Airport with a stopover at the Igongo cultural centre for lunch. After lunch, you will continue with the journey, and you will stop at the equator monument for pictures and then proceed to Entebbe Airport to catch your flight.
