Detailed itinerary of 8 days, Murchison and Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe airport
On your 1st day of 8 days Murchison falls and queen Elizabeth safari, you will meet our representative at the airport who will welcome you, give you some briefing about the 8 days visit to the unique national parks in Uganda.
The Uganda tour guide/ driver will pick you up from the airport, drop you at your hotel in case, and if time allows, you will pass the Entebbe Zoo, then have lunch, continue to your hotel for supper and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
On your 2nd day of 8 days, you will wake up, have breakfast, meet your guide and start your journey to Murchison falls national park, while on your way, you will have stopover at Luwero market buy some fruits and continue, then continue to ziwa for rhino sanctuary, this takes about 1-2 hours drive, from ziwa you will en-route to Masindi town for lunch and relaxation and after that, you will proceed to Murchison falls national park at the gate reaching in the early. You will continue hiking to the top of the falls, have a great experience, take pictures and continue to the park, check in the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive and Boat Cruise
On your 3rd day of 8 days Murchison falls and queen Elizabeth safari, you will wake up, have breakfast, then you can meet your Uganda tour guide/ driver who will take you through the game drive experience, during the game drive, you will be able to see different animals which include; elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, elands, Jackson hartebeest, waterbucks. After your game drive, you will be taken back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation as you wait for the next afternoon’s activity.
Afternoon boat cruise
After your lunch at your lodge, you will be the Uganda tour guide/ driver who will drop you at the lake shore as you wait for the boat cruise, the boat cruise takes about 3-4 hours towards the falls, where you will see different animals especially the aquatic animals, these include; crocodiles, hippos and elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kobs, topis, elands, waterbuck that normally graze around the lake shores for water and the lucky ones will be able to see the water birds on the Victoria Niles, these birds include, King fisher Eagle, pelicans, parrot, shoebill, Heron, secretary bird among others. After you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Murchison to Fort Portal
On your 4th day of the 8-day Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth safari, you will wake up, have breakfast, then meet your guide/driver, and then set out of Murchison Falls National Park using the Fort Portal highway. While on your way, ay you will stopover at aMparoro tom, bs whicareis known as a historical burial site of Bunyoro kings, then continue to Fort Portal town, exploring Lake Nyinambuguu and amabere ga nyinamwiru in local folklore of Fort Portal city, making it unique with its unique attractions. After, you will head for lunch in Fort Portal town, after your lunch, you will visit the Toro palace, which takes about 2 to 3 hours, then proceed to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On your 5th day of 8 days in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will wake up on your leisure time breakfast meet check out of the hotel and meet your guide to start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On your way you will be able to spot the landscapes and the scenic beauty of Rwenzori ranges, explore the crater lakes then continue to kasese town for lunch, then proceed to stop at kikolongo equator where you will have a moment of pictures giving the best experience to the tourist then you will reach queen Elizabeth national park in the late evening, check in the lodge, then you can have an option of evening boat cruise at kazinga channel or check in the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Game drive and Kazinga channel
Game drive
On the 6th day of your 8 days in Murchison falls and queen Elizabeth safari you will wake up early for breakfast meet your guide then start your game drive in kasenyi plains. You will spot different animals including leopards, lions, waterbucks, giraffe buffalos, elephants, antelopes, elands ,toppis,and the Uganda kob. After your game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation as you wait for the afternoon boat cruise.
Afternoon Boat Cruise
On the same day, in the afternoon, you will meet your guide again for an evening boat cruise at Kazinga Channel, which is separated by Lake Edward and Kyoga. While on your boat cruise, you will be able to spot aquatic animals, including crocodiles and hippos, and other animals that graze around the Kazinga channel in the afternoon in search of water, and these animals include waterbucks, giraffe buffalos, elephants, antelopes, elands, Toppi’s and the Uganda kob. On your boat cruise, you will be able to see water birds which include herons, grey heron, great egret, and cattle egret. Yellow billed stork, pied kingfisher, giant kingfisher, among others. After your boat cruise, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Isha Sector- Tree Climbing Lions
On your 7th day of 8 days in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will wake up early in the morning, meet your guide then set off for lion tracking in Isashaa sector. This tracking takes about 2 to 3hours where you will see the lion-climbing in queen Elizabeth national park making the unique attractions in the park at queen Elizabeth national park at large. After your lion tracking, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Return to Kampala
On your last day of the Uganda safari from the best national parks in Uganda, you will wake up early, have breakfast, check out the lodge then meet your guide/ driver. Check out of the lodge, and then start your journey to Kampala. Your guide will either drop you at the hotel in Kampala or either at Entebbe international airport.
